“I looked around for the perfect place to send our pup while we went away on a family vacation. DKS was close to home, affordable, and we had heard good things. We decided to board her there for the week.
The best thing about DKS is their staff! While we were away, we were sent photos of our pup making new friends, going on walks and having just as much fun as we were on our vacation! It was so good to see her and know how happy she really was!
After we were home for a while, we had a horrible experience at a groomer. Our pup was absolutely terrified to get her nails clipped after that. I had noticed that DKS did nail trims so I called and spoke to Laura and explained that our girl would not be easy to deal with. She assured me it would be no problem at all, and so I took her in. That first trip couldn’t have been fun for Laura, but both survived. It has now been several years and we still take her to have her nails done by Laura. She no longer resists or panics, instead she is excited and happy to be there! In fact, when I say, “Want to go see Laura?” She goes crazy and plants herself by the front door!
The fact that staff will take the time (and have the patience with pups who struggle), makes ALL the difference in the world to me. We have boarded our girl there every time we have gone away, and will continue to do so! It’s her favourite place to visit and I am confident she is being well cared for.
